#011 - On alarm bells, polarities, and looking forward to what's next . . .
When I was a child I used to love riding the merry-go-round. I wasn’t worried about germs or thinking about the fact that we were going in circles, not really moving forward in any way. For me, riding the merry-go-round was joy in its purest form. I was enchanted by the colorful wooden horses and the music of the band organ, the “doot doot dooting” of its notes filling the air as I bobbed up and down, butterflies of excitement fluttering in my stomach at the anticipation of completing another round and seeing my parents in the crowd waving at me.
The joy in those moments was simply about being on the ride.
